Marriage.
Louis Bucholtz of the Eitzen hotel, and Miss Selma Wiemerslage were married Feb. 24, with Anna Wiemerslage and Wm. Bucholtz as attendants.

HARPERS FERRY
- Mike Mullarkey won head prize at Harpers Ferry card party; Deo Cota, the consolation.

- Mrs. Mary Guider resumed work in Houlihan's store.

- Joe Sullivan moved from Jefferson to the Roche farm in Paint Rock.

WEXFORD
- Wexford visitors: Tom Burke and wife, Minneapolis; Mrs. Harry Dasher, Waukon; Francis Whalen, Lansing; also the Peter Ranchor family; Marguerite Bohrer, Dubuque.

- E.B. Mooney and wife welcome a new boy.

- E.T. Duncan's sale footed up $2500.

CHERRY MOUND
- James Rooney and Maggie McGeough were married at Cherry Mound, Feb. 15. Clement and Martina McGeough were attendants.

- Tom Mullaney cried Mrs. Fitzgerald's action, which footed up over $2000.

- Local callers: Fred Fahey, Huron, S.D.; John McErlane, Minneapolis; Nellie Houlihan, Paint Rock and Jim Burke and wife, Brownsville.

ENGLISH BENCH
- Charley Beardmore is home on English Bench after several months in Grandview hospital.

- Ray Bulman and wife returned home to Leeds, N.D.

- The Willard Cunningham family moved onto the Healy farm.

- Will Sadler retired as cream hauler after 18 years service and is succeeded by James Sires.

NEW ALBIN
- Noticed in New Albin: Effie Inman, La Crosse; Katherine Colsch, Waukon; Peter Hosch, Caledonia; Mike Schobert and wife and Joe Ross and wife, Lansing.

- Marguerite La Tronche, Elizabeth Kerrigan, Anna Hall, Stacia Dolan, Emma Bock, Mrs. John Benkie, and Lorayne and Evelyn Ayer took in the declamatory contest at Lansing.

- Julia Colsch of Sand Cove and Joseph Henry, Waukon, were married Feb. 23.

LANSING
- Rev. F.W. Pease of First Presbyterian church has resigned.

- Girls were born at the Ed. Tyler, Nels Larson and Forest Wolfe homes.

- The remains of Geo. Glosser, 56, were brought from Algona to Lansing for burial.

- Leo Ryan celebrated his 21st birthday March 1st.

- Gretta Guider is ill with tonsillitis.

- Esther Bechtel went to New Hampton; Laura Schisler to Grafton; Mrs. Jos. Hartley to McGregor; Dr. John Saam to Dubuque; and Mary Schach and Mrs. L.L. Wittbecker to Chicago.

- Calhoun Creamery Co. voted to renew its charter May 1st, and elected the following officers: President, H.W. Becker; vice pres., J.W. Wendel; sec'y, C.J. Riser; treas., Ben Decker; directors, F.F. Bartheld, George V. Scholtes and C.P. Nierling.

- Fire did small damage to Mrs. Hannah Donovan's home.

- Art Cummins will open a restaurant in the Hoag building and also keep roomers.

- Albert Larson and Dennis Cota killed two foxes.
