Louis SCHUTTE this week purchased a half interest in the undertaking business of J.M. HARRIS and henceforth the firm will be known as HARRIS & SCHUTTE.

Mrs. Otto FISCHER, 26, mother of three small children, passed away last Friday after a two weeks illness. She is survived by her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John MOETSCH, and the three children.

Clara HOYT of Decorah, who is visiting her uncle, Horace WELLS, gave a musicale in the Wm. LEUI home Monday evening and another in the F.S. BURLING home Tuesday night. Miss HOYT is an instructor in music in oklahoma State University.

Hog prices jumped to $11.30 in Chicago today, the highest price since the Civil War. Beans advanced from 5 cents/pound to 11 cents and in Duluth the price of rye went up to $1.20 per bushel. We're not in the present war, but we're paying war prices.

Eighty-three persons, relatives of the HENDERSON-DURNO-KERR families, attended the reunion last Thursday at the C.M. KERR farm on Henderson Prairie. Out-of-town folks included:
