-Melbert Folsom has rented the Henry Honn farm at Hardin for next
year.
-A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koopman Monday night.
-Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Meier in Ludlow have a baby girl.
-The Earl Livingoods near Frankville have a daughter born to them
last week.
-Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schultz at Castalia have a baby boy at their
home.
-Mrs. Myra Gray has purchased the Louis Kamp house near the
schoolhouse for $2,550.
-Obert Harris has sold his farm to George Brainard for $150 per
acre, Chas. Reincke, Jr., having forfeited his $200 down payment
on the farm.
-The new barn on the Wm. Harris farm to replace the one destroyed
in the cyclone was raised yesterday and the new house is nearing
completion.
Died.
Henry Dahms, 78, since 1903 a resident of Postville, passed away
last Thursday. He is survived by his wife, three sons and four
daughters and 21 grandchildren, all of whom live in this
community.
St Bridget's Holds Confirmation Rites
Thomas Clark, Raymond Samek, Joseph Koevenig, Raymond Mitchell,
George Meier, Margaret Welsch, Nora Lydon, Agnes Schuler, Mrs.
Nora McNeil and Mrs. Marie Eiholzer were confirmed in St.
Bridget's Catholic church this morning. Archbishop Kean of
Dubuque was present for the rites.

Local Items
-John Schutta and Ellen Ewing were married in Ludlow October 7.
-Nels McGhee, 82 year old former Hardin resident, passed away at
McGregor Friday.
-James Merrill has bought the 80 acre Richard Suckow farm near
Castalia for $105 per acre.
-Mr. and Mrs. John J. Koevenig are the parents of twins, a boy
and a girl, since Saturday, born at Postville hospital.
-George W. Harris left this week for a six months tour of the
south and west. He will also visit the Panama exposition in San
Diego, Calif.
-Postville has a new automobile firm. Carl Sander and Roland Gass
have rented the Marston building, south of the Review office as
their showroom, and have engaged Ed Hanson as their mechanic.
-Fred Ruckdaschel has bought the Ira E. Nash house for $1,000.
The Nash family have moved to Britt where they will make their
home with their son.
-Melbert Folsom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Folsom, and Bertha
David, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred David, were married at the
bride's home on Wednesday. They will live on the Honn farm at
Hardin.
