The largest audience assembled in Postville heard Dr. John R. MOTT warn against over-enthusiasm for either combantant in the present war, in his address at Turner Hall on Thursday evening. From Luana 43 people came on the train for the lecture.

About 50 people attended the demonstration of Charley HOTH's newly patented hay mower on the Hall ROBERTS farm Saturday afternoon.

Walter MEYER, 22 year old son of Mr.& Mrs. John O. MEYER of Ossian, passed away Tuesday and the funeral will be held today in the Postville Lutheran church.

Leo BEUCHER has bought the house he has been occupying from Fred RUCKDASCHEL for $1200, and Wm MOLL purchased the Vic SCOFIELD house for $1000.

A $1,600 addition will be made to the parsonage of St. Paul's congregation. Fred RUCKDASCHEL was awarded the contract.

Wm. RADLOFF and Marie MARTINS were married at the Lutheran parsonage in Luana March 10.

Anna WEGNER is assisting at Luhman & Sanders store during the absence of Jennie NICOLAY.

Meier Bros. have sold their eggand poultry business to Clair F. LIMBECK of Ossian.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray JACOBIA have a baby boy at their home since Friday.

Allison SWENSON is now employed in the C.W. Meier general store.

Fred PALAS is the new marshal at Luana.
