-H.E. (Bert) Taylor will deliver the Memorial Day address here on
May 30.
-Fred Meiske has attached the stock of merchandise of S. Kohn,
who has been operating a store here, and will sell it at auction
on Saturday, May 8.
-The neighbors of Charles Reincke are doing a kind deed for him
this week. They are seeding the grain on his farm and attending
to other spring work. Mr. Reincke has been confined in a Dubuque
hospital, but is expected home this week.
The funeral service for Mrs. Christ Wuethrick, 75, who passed
away at Waukon Thursday, was held at the home of her son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. G.A. Brooks, in this city Monday.
Frieda Schultz and Magnus Nali were married on Tuesday morning at
seven o'clock by the Rev. E. Schmidt. John Renzman and Tillie
Nali were the attendants. The couple have gone to Canton, So.
Dak., to spend their honeymoon.
