Postville Review
February 1908
Postville, Allamakee Co., Iowa

The office of Dr. Ray TOPLIFF will be closed next Tuesday and Wednesday while the Dr. attends the Dubuque district dental association meeting in Oelwein.

The Lutheran confirmation class had a social at their school room Tuesday in honor of the anniversary of the birth of their pastor and teacher, Rev. R. KUEHNE.

John MURPHY, of Reynolds, N.D. visited at the home of his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. HORGAN and with numerous Postville friends from Friday night until Monday morning.

The Hale Rip Van Winkle company which appeared at Turner Hall last Friday evening was the worst frost in the show line that has visited Postville in many a year. It was rotten from start to finish and if there was a single redeeming feature in it we have failed to hear of it.

Gus DIETSCH left Tuesday for Sanford, Florida, for a three months sojourn with his wife and Little Freddie, who will probably return to Postville with him about June first.
