A Postville Burglary. Last Friday night some miscreants broke in
the front door of Skelton & Tangeman's store and took small
items.
Proof of Will.
The last will and testament of W. N. BURDICK, deceased, has been
opened and read in the office of the clerk of the District Court
6 of Iowa, in and for Allamakee County, and Jan. 14th, 1902 has
been set for hearing the proof of said Will in Court. Ellison

Collision Near Oelwein
Great Western Engineer's Feet Burned Off in a Wreck.
Engineer Chauncy Rose lost both feet in a wreck on the Chicago
Great Western three miles north of Oelwein on Monday morning. the
east bound passenger train collided with an engine running west
alone about 6:30 a.m. the boiler of the latter engine exploded.
Engineer Rose of the passenger train, was caught in the wreck and
was held fast by the depris until a wrecking train reached the
scene and rescued him. When taken out both of his feet fell off.
His feet had been forced into the fire box of the engine and
burned to a crisp. He receied prompt medical aid and will
probably recover from his injuries. No one else was hurt,
although the passengers on the east bound train were well shaken
up and frightened. Who is responsible for the collision is not
yet known.
Milwaukee Engineer Killed.
Charles O'Holman Killed by His Engine in North McGregor Yards.
Mason City, Dec 17. Charles O'Holman, an engineer on the
Milwaukee railroad, was killed by his engine in the North
McGregor yards this morning.

Notice is hereby given that an instrument purporting to be the
last Will and Testament of W.N. Burdick, deceased, late of
Allamakee County, Iowa, has been opened and read in the office of
the clerk of the District Court of Iowa, in and for Allamakee
county, and that Jan. 14th, 190?, has been set for hearing the
proof of said Will in court. Witness my hand and the seal of said
Court this 9th day of Dec. 1901. Ellison Orr, Clerk of District
