J.M. HARRIS has purchased the two lots owned by S.W. COURSON, opposite his residence on west Tilden street.

Edward STAADT died this morning.

H.C. HONN is building a large two story addition on the side of his shop to be used as a wood working and paint shop.

M.A. BOLLMAN and family, of Castalia, left Tuesday for Sioux City to visit relatives.

Jacob LEUI is still quite poorly.

John Van VELZER and family and Art returned from their 3 weeks outing today.

MARRIED.
At Prairie du Chien, Sept 7, 1892, by the Rev. HOBBS; Mr. Chas. SONNKALB and Miss Lizzie C. LEUI, both of Grand Meadow twp.

DIED.
At his home in Postville, on Sept 2nd, 1892, after a lingering illness from a complication of diseases, Edward STAADT, aged 70 years 1 month and 26 days. He was born in Traer, in the Rhine Province, Prussia, July 6th, 1822. He came to America in 1854, since which time he has resided in Post twp., until last spring on the farm, since then having resided in town. Feb. 9th, 1860, Mr. STAADT was married to Hainey MITCHELL, and to them four children were born, three of whom are still living. After the death of his first wife he married her sister, Mrs. Mary TULLER, in 1881. [remainder cut off]
