MARRIED.
At Sibley, Iowa March 3rd, by Rev. W.W. BROWN, Mr. F.H. HINTON and Miss Carrie E. JONES, both of Postville. Mr. HINTON has for a long time been operator at the Milwaukee depot and Miss JONES is well known to our citizens. She has been saleslady at Skelton & McEwens store. They go to housekeeping at Mrs. JONES' residence on the east side.

DIED.
Mrs. John S. GREGG, at Monona, on Tuesday morning at the home of her son I.J. WHEELER. Funeral yesterday.

Joe BEUCHER, the new drayman, will keep lime, sand, brick, tile, etc. in season.

Geo. SCHULER has taken his brother into partnership in the meat market again and it is once more Schuler Bros.

Theo. BROCKBAUSEN, for 30 years a partner in the firm of Meilander & Brockhausen, at Lansing, died last week.

Wm. HARRIS went to Chicago on Wednesday with 23 head of fat steers that averaged over 1400 lbs. each. They will bring a nice "wad" of money.

DIED.
At her residence near Postville, March 16th, Mrs. Deborah MOIR, in the 83rd year of her age. Mrs. MOIR was born in the town of Dover, New Hampshire, in the year 1809. She professed religion early in life and at an early day she with her husband became members of the Congregational church of this place. Deceased was, in her best days, before paralysis intervened, a very useful member of society; always at her post of duty - faithful, unfaltering and persevering she possessed those qualities in an eminent degree which fitted her for her mission of pioneer life.

Died. At her home in Clermont twp., March 14th, of heart failure, Mrs. Helen BEATON, aged 81 years two months and eight days. The funeral was held from the Catholic church in Clermont. She was a native of Scotland, but together with her husband, Alexander BEATON, she came to America early in the fourties, settling first in Beloit, Wis., and later in Clermont twp, Fayette county, Iowa.
