In Prairie du Chien, Wis., August 28, 1890 by Rev. James SIMS, Mr. Fred ERNEST, of Mason City, and Miss Jessie PEARSON, of Hardin, Iowa.
DIED.
Mr. Charles ARKLEY, father of Mrs. J.B. MINERT, died at Waukon last Monday after an illness of but a week. He and his wife had come from Kimball, S.D., only about a week before to visit their daughter and he was taken sick almost immediately.

Jerome Van ALLEN, step-son of W.I.A. BRAINARD, and Bion LINN, step-brother of Mrs. W.I.A. BRAINARD, are in Bethel from Chicago visiting friends, gunning, fishing and rusticating.

Mrs. BOOTH, nee Lillian REDHEAD, has presented her husband with a young gent, out in the mormon city of Salt Lake.
Mrs. G.W. PEARSON went to Minneapolis on Tuesday, Mr. PEARSON following on Thursday.
