Geo. REDHEAD has purchased a farm at Fulda, Minn. Linc. will go to it in the spring.
On Wednesday afternoon while Mr. BRANDT and his daughter were returning home from Postville on a load of lumber, the daughter was thrown or fell from her seat and the wheel ran over one of her limbs, breaking it quite badly at the thigh.
J.M. HARRIS was taken suddenly ill with painters colic last Wednesday night. Hope he may speedily recover.
Morris HOLAHAN, a brother of Will, has been in town this week and is in much better health.
MARRIED.
At the M.E. parsonage in Postville, by Rev. E.J. LOCKWOOD, on Oct 28th, 1890, Charles LENDT and Rika KEWFELDT. All of Grand Meadow twp.
In Ludlow twp, on the 23rd, Mr. John STACK to Miss Emma DRAVES at the home of the bride.
In Ludlow twp, on the 23rd, Rev. Herman SILL, of Minnesota, to Miss Minnie, daughter of Mrs. Charlotte HELMING, also at the home of the bride.
DEATHS.
Died, at the home of her parents in Clermont, Oct. 22nd, Miss Mae APPELMAN, aged about thirty-three years.
Fred MEYER, a brother of Carl MEYER, in the employ of J.W. Ward & co. was found dead last Sunday afternoon a short distance from his home a few miles this side of Elkader. He was out to the grove to shoot squirrels and it is supposed that he accidently discharged the gun, with fatal results. Misses Mary CLARK and Estelle BUTTOLPH, of Hardin are attending school here.
Mrs. E.R. MARSH visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. McGHEE, at Hardin, this week.
Jas. ROW has sold his residence on Military street to Mrs. Jonathan ELLIS for $500.
The school board has employed Ellison ORR to teach the grammar department for the winter term. The second primary department will be in charge of Miss Sarah STAFFORD, Miss DARLING moving into the new room.
Farm for sale.
I have a choice farm of 120 acres with plenty of good water (two wells and a running spring), plenty of timber for wood; situated one mile east of Hardin. David RILEY.

Joe NICOLAY has done a splendid job on the new church spire. It is made of galvanized iron and is a beauty, showing very fine workmanship. The bells (two of them) are in position, one for church use and one for the clock. They are both of very fine tone. The clock will be here and be set up next week.
MARRIED.
At the M.E. parsonage on Nov. 26th by Rev. E.J. LOCKWOOD; Mr. Richaard SAMS to Miss Lizzie SNYDER. After a short wedding trip to Sioux Falls, they will make their home with the groom's father, Mr. Jas. SAMS.
