Political speeches scheduled for this county, Judge WILLIAMS at Waukon on the 9th and Mr. UPDEGRAFF at Postville on the 15th.

C.F. RATHMAN is here preparing to move his family to Dakota the first of next week. He reports everything prosperous out on the Sioux. We bid him and his family good bye regretfully.

Our friend J.F. BRADLEY, returned from LeRoy on Sunday morning and made us a visit at last, at which we were much pleased. He returned to Dakota on Monday and arrived safely in the land of big prairies and cyclones on Tuesday morning.

The first section of the grade on the new road this side of Myron will soon be completed, when the long roundabout road over the hill will be dispensed with, and the great horror of people coming to or going from Postville in that direction will be removed.

List of letters remaining unclaimed in the postoffice at Postville, September 30th, 1880:
Andrew BOLEINGER, Joseph CRAMER, M.E. EVANS, A.B. EDWARDS, Robert KELLY, Miss Mary KANE, Worlsy LYONS, Henry MEYER, Michael MURPHY, D.F. MURRAY, Henry RUSH, Miss Maggie O. RYAN, Jackson SHOULTZ, J.E. SAWYER, Mrs. Elizabeth SEYBERT, J.J. THOMPSON, Miss Esther WOOD and John WORNHOLTY.

We were pained to see, by a paper sent us from Dakota, that our young friend, Felix CURRAN, Jr., who was once in our employ as a printer since we have been in Postville, and before that in Decorah, died, after a lingering illness, we infer from consumption, on the 15th ult. Felix was a good boy, steady and kind, and it is with deep regret we record his death so early. His parents and friends have our sympathy.

Proposals will be received by the undersigned until Oct. 15th, for grading Sec. 2 on road No. 487. Specifications can be seen at John SWENSON's near the work, or with N.J. BEEDY, com.

All persons are hereby warned not to purchase a note made by me to Mr. BUTTOLPH, of Hardin, about August 1st for $30.00, as I shall not pay the same on the grounds of want of consideration. Dennis CHURCH.

Strayed from the subscriber, about July 1st, 1880, a small sized dark brown jenney, about 9 years old. A liberal reward will be paid for information leading to her recovery. Notify me through Review office. R.C. GRAHAM.

Don't forget that I have purchased the pump and wind mill business of G.W. STAFFORD, and I will keep on hand all kinds of pumps and wind mills, feed mills and repairs. I keep my business head quarters at the shop formerly occupied by G.W. STAFFORD. Give me a call before you purchase elsewhere. G.W. WIGGINS.
