DIED. On Tuesday, November 4, of membraneous croup, Eugene, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. John LEITHOLD, aged 3 years.
BIRTH. The ROSE family has increased by another boy. By specific request.
The epizootic has struck Postville. Postmaster PRESCOTT lost a horse with it last night.
The Ladies Sociable of the M.E. Church will be held at Mrs. Jas McEWEN's on Tuesday afternoon Nov. 11th.
Will THOMA's team ran away with his little boy in the wagon on Wednesday. The child was thrown out when the wagon went over a crossing on Lawler street and fortunately was not seriously injured.

Mrs. P.L. SMITH and daugher returned from their visit east last Friday.
A.M. PERRY of Burr Oak was one of the excursionists to Kansas and Nebraska last week.
A. ERNST, of Luana is in the field as a stock buyer.
