NOTES FROM BETHEL.
Evan SWENSON, our efficient road supervisor, is circulating briskly among us, inviting out both great and small to mend their ways.
Mr. Aswell EATON is building a new barn; also Mr. Edward STAADT.
Jas. HARRIS is altering and improving his premises; also Evan SVENSON [Swenson].
Mr. Isaac BRAINARD and Mrs. A. FAVILLE are in improving health.

DEATHS.
Died. Of stomach cancer, Mrs. C. CHAPIN, age 80, at the residence of her son R.C. GRAHAM two miles northwest of Postville.
At the residence of Mr. LAWSON near Cleveland, on June 20th, 1880, Mr. Frank RAYMOND, of lingering consumption. Aged 20 years 9 months and 20 days. He leaves five brothers and many friends to mourn his loss.

E.J. FERRY and wife will soon make their final departure from Postville. Their location for the present will be Colombus, Wisc.
