Married. - In Postville, May 12th, by Rev. S. F. SMITH, Mr. W. W.
EATON and Miss Ella HALL, both of Postville.
Died. - At his residence on Yellow River in Post township, May
23d, of lung fever, S.N. BATES, aged 63 years. The funeral
services were attended at the White school house, Bloomfield
township, Winneshiek county; services by Rev. B. FOLSUM of Myron;
subject, St. John six chap. 1st verse. Many thanks to the many
friends who assisted in the burying of the dead and to the
sympathizing people of Postville who lent a helping hand to the
afflicted widow.
