(Simon), Sarah (Evans), and Richard Pugh were the first settlers of Troy Twp. After
Richard Pugh died, Ann married Richard Williams, founder of Williamsburg.

John M. Williams (also pictured above) was Richard
Williams' only son. He looks about age 16 here! But, was probably closer to 19 or
20, which would put the date of the photo about 1876.
