Please bring me a train and a
hand car. Dohren wants a wagon and toy dog. Junior needs a nigger doll. His stocking is
the littlest one. He can’t eat nuts and candy, only suckers. Don’t forget us please. Your friend,

I have three sisters, the only
twins, Dorothy and Doris and Zona Mae.
We’re
going to move at Christmas and you better wait awhile. I want some booty shoes for Billy
and socks for Betty, a doll nigger, a
pocketbook, a little stove like Howard’s and chair for twins, a little desk and chair
for it, a candy cane and doll, book, beads and a ball.
For Russell, a wagon and chair, romper, baby doll and rattle.
I am going to write you a few
lines to let you know what I would like for Christmas.
I want a doll that cries and goes to sleep and is 22 inches tall, and a big
doll buggy where the doll fits in. And my little brother who is four and a half years old
wants a tricycle and a coaster wagon. Wishing you a Merry Christmas, from you little

books if you can spare them. I try to be a
good little girl.
I want a caterpillar tractor for
Christmas like the one at Pilcher’s Hardware Store. Dorothy wants a shovel. If you
can’t get them in our stockings, please sit them on the mantle.
Daddy wants some shirts and
socks. Mama wants some shoes, stockings and a crokinolde board so she can play with us
kids after supper when the dishes are done.
Age 11-I would like to have a
sheepskin coat, a cap, some stockings, some high top boots and a game.
Age 10- Robert wants a sheepskin coat, some stockings, a pair of rubbers and a game.
Age 8-Biblanna wants a scarf set,
some stockings, a game and some mittens.
Age 7-Bonnie wants the same
things.
Age 4-Betsy wants a coat, scarf
set, some mittens, shoes, stockings, a doll buggy.
Age 3-Margaret wants a cap, some
mittens, stockings and doll buggy.
Age 10 months-Rolland is too
little to appreciate anything, but likes a rattle.
This seems like I am asking for a
lot but we do need them. Hoping that you will leave some of them.

big mama doll that goes to sleep. She is 29 inches tall and I am going to get a big doll

Dorothy doll in and a doll sewing machine,
