These four males are some of the children listed as "living in Battle Creek Iowa" in the obituary of their mother: Patience HUTCHINSON/HUTCHERSON, b. 15 Apr 1871, LaPlata, Macon Co, MO., d. 11 Oct 1928, age 50 (sic: obit), md. 27 Mar 1887 to Frederick E. HARRISON. Frederick E. HARRISON, b. ca 1857, IA, the son of William & Mary (surname unknown) HARRISON, formerly of Jones Co, NC, then to Macon Co MO.

HEATH married 2nd, 25 Mar. 1874, Ida Co., Pheobe OSTRANDER, daughter of Hiram and Clarinda(STREATER) OSTRANDER. Four children by this marriage: James M. Heath, married Alice HARRINGTON, Ada, John A., and Harry Heath. John A. Heath died in Ida Grove,Iowa after 1885 and before 1888. His 2nd wife, Phoebe, married 2nd, George F. GRAVES, 15 Sept. 1888.

I would like to hear from any descendants of Claus JACOBS who came to the US about 1857 with his mother, Dorothea Lucht Jacobs and two sisters and two brothers. While the rest of the family stayed in Scott and Tama county, Claus moved to Holstein, Ida county. He reportedly had a large family. He would have been born about 1840/1850 time frame, and was a brother to my great grandmother, Katharina who married Charles F. Schroder. Any clues or information will be greatly appreciated. Am looking for a JOHNSON family in Ida County. Andrew JOHNSON was born June 26, 1834 in Sweden and married Ella Greta ERIKSSON (b. August 9, 1839, Stockholm, Nora lan, Sweden) in Sweden. They emigrated in the mid-1800's to Arthur, IA, working on the old Wheeler Ranch. They had 5 children: Andrew Jr., Charles, Edna, Bessie and Anna (b. December 20, 1865, Westmanland, Sweden). Anna JOHNSON married Fredrick D. HART on March 4, 1886 in Ida Grove, Ida Co., IA. He was a cattle breeder. She was one of the cooks at the Wheeler Ranch. They eventually moved to Iona, Murray Co., MN and lived there the rest of their lives. I cannot find out anything about the JOHNSONs, nor Fredrick's family. I am fairly convinced that he came from Chicago as a young man to work on the Ranch. Anyone with any information regarding the JOHNSONs or the HARTs would be GREATLY appreciated. Ferdinand was born in 1859 and came to America in 1868 with his brother Frederick William Meyer. I'm seeking information on their parents, said to be Christopher and Catherina. Ferdinand and Frederick W. may have run a general store and were involved in farming. Frederick W. was married to Eliza May CORRIN and may have run for Govenor on the farmer's ticket in Iowa. Jacob A MILLER born 2 May 1842 died 19 Sept 1914. Married 30 Nov 1865 to Elizabeth GAYMAN born 11 Jan 1844 died 25 Sept 1915. They came to Iowa with to sons George & Samuel from Pa in 1876 or 1877. George born 1866 & Samuel born 1867. The family was in Galva until 1910. Jacob & Elizabeth are buried there. I am willing to exchange info. All I know about George is his full name George Irvine Miller. Jacob might have served in the civil war and it is said his grave has an american Legion sign on it.

Albert E. ROACH 18 May 1852 IN-18 JAN 1938 NE) and Martha Caroline (MCVICKER) COLE (4 Aug 1858 IL-16 Oct 1943 NE) were married 16 Oct 1886 in Ida Grove, IA. The McVICKER family, Martha's father Stephen McVICKER (4 Mar 1827 OH-5 Oct 1900 IA) and Matilda Ann MERRICKS (15 May 1830 VA-18 Mar 1915 IA) resided in Ida Co for a time. Matilda Ann MERRICK's sister Martha MERRICKS (1837-?) married a Thomas Young SHANNON (5 Nov 1836 IRL-31 Oct 1900 IA). They lived in the Storm Lake area, but perhaps were in Ida Co. first (?). Any information on relatives, descendants, ancestors are welcome.

Family oral history has it that my ggreatgrandfather, James Monroe RULE was buried on the family homestead in Ida Grove in 1879. It is also said that a tombstone was purchased for the grave. If anyone has a Plat Map for this period of time and can look up the description of the property he owned, I would be greatly appreciative.

They had nine childen: Louis, Ernest, John, Lily, Geroge, Johanna, Clara, Adelia, and one name unknown. Louis married Helena Schmidt and had five children in Holstein. I am Sandra Schroder Tennyson and I am tracing the SCHRODER/ SCHROEDER family. I am looking for and information available on Hennock Christian SCHROEDER and wife Henrietta who moved from Scott county, Iowa to Holstein, Ida county in 1900/1901. He died in 1902 and is reported to be buried in a Holstein cemetery. Chris supposedly had ten children who all died in Scott county during a diptheria epidemic during late 1890's/1900.
