Charles Gotch Writes From France.
France, November 29, 1917
Dear Mother:
I am sending you a few lines to let you know that I
am well and hope you are the same. How are you all
anyway. I don't want you to worry about me as I will
come out all right. I like this country fine and dandy.
How are Bert, wife and baby, Freddie, Emma and
their children? How is Fred and Agnes' baby coming?
Tell everybody Hello for me.
Is the new house on the farm done yet and how is
the old farm getting along. Tell me all the news about
the farm when you write. I am going to write to Agnes
soon.
If anything should happen to me I want to be sent
back home.
I would send you something if I could. Write and
tell me all the news. How is the old town of Humboldt
coming. Is she the same old jolly town?
I received the packages that were sent to me.
Those knitted wristlets were fine. I got everything O.
K. The candy and dates were good as was everything. I
was glad to get them. You can send me anything you want
to but I can't send you anything. Tell everybody Hello
and write me. Good Bye. From your loving son,
