New Contingent Of Soldiers Are Off

Entrain At Humboldt Monday of This Week

Ten Men In This Lot

Breakfasted and Sent With Best Wishes of Entire Community -- Band Furnished Music.

Another contingent of soldiers were sent to the training camp Monday last.  The boys in this draft were:

Louis William Rowlow, Clare
Albert Flake, Humboldt
Carl Christensen, Humboldt
Ole Mandsager, Thor
Enoch M. Hanson, Hardy
Thomas H. Tackaberry, Pioneer
Earl J. Leland, Humboldt
Roy B. Jacobson, Ottosen
Rasmus L. Petersen, Humboldt
Phineas Kite, DeSoto, Missouri

A long procession followed the local heroes to the train, and the procession was composed of practically every patriotic organization in the town.
These leave-takings with our new soldier boys, are always heartrending and though each new contingent repeats the scene, some way we can never grow calous to the event.  Humboldt county is willing to lay her all at the feet of these boys who are going to give some of their best years, and perhaps their lives, for their country.  If there is anything in the feeling of those at home to influence events over those at the front, they will find their lots in the best places.
