NEW HAMPTON - Frederick W. Volker, 77, formerly of Boyd, died at the New Hampton Care Center, New Hampton on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002 of natural causes.

Funeral Services were 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo. Garden View Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.

Frederick was born May 29, 1924 in Delaware, MN, the son of Frederick and Sophie (Zell) Volker. He married Maxine Loy in 1942 and they were later divorced. He then married JaVonne Geiger on Aug. 30,1968 in Anoka, MN. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He had worked as a self-employed mason for 40 years.

Survivors include two sons, Frederick Volker, Waterloo and Kim Volker, Lansing; a daughter, Michele E. Zum-mak, Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Volker, Frederika and Jim Volker, Marble Rock and three sisters, Lucille Buckendahl, New Hampton, Sophie Muller, Sumner and Evelyn Raewoldt, Iowa Falls.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, JaVonne, in 1997 and a brother, William Volker.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
