COUNCIL BLUFFS - Geraldine M "Gen" Tigges, 61, Council Bluffs, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002 at home.

A Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22 at St. Peter's Church with Rev. Chuck Koltas officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Council Bluffs.

Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 21 with a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. followed by family visitation at 8:30 p.m.

Geraldine was born Aug. 10, 1940 in New Hampton, the daughter of Clarence and Viola (Corvenka) Jirak. She graduated from New Hampton High School and received a degree in Elementary Education in 1976. She married' James Tigges on June 3, 1973. was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Church and St. Peter's Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Steve, Sioux City; two sisters, Janelle (Tom) Tiboette, Minneapolis, MN and Yvonne Sadler, Pella; two brothers, Lawrence (Lucille) Jirak and David Jirak, all of Lawler; one granddaughter, nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was a son, Gregory.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
