NASHUA — Florence M. Taylor, 92, Palmyra, MO and formerly of Nashua, died Tuesday evening, March 5, 2002 at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra of natural causes.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Nashua.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.

Visitation was Friday, March 8 at the Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Florence was born in Floyd County, Iowa on Feb. 25, 1910, the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Merritt) Carpenter. She raduated from Nashua High chool in 1927 and taught in country schools for ten years. She married Curtis Taylor in 1937.

Surviving are two sons, Leonard, Filmore, MO and Loren, Quincy, IL; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Blanche Light, Peoria, AZ.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Curtis Taylor in 1974; her parents; six brothers, Howard, Roy, Phillip, Arthur, Guy and Winton Carpenter; four sisters, Mabel Eckoff, Margaret Ferch, Alice Krumrey and Clara Faulkner; three half-brothers, Frank, Lewis and Charles Carpenter; two half-sisters, Grace Zimmerman and Myra Bachelor.
