FREDERICKSBURG - Nettie S. Tessmer, 92, Fredericksburg, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002 at Sunrise Guest Home, Fredericksburg of natural causes.

Funeral Services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 a t St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fredericksburg.

Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery/Richfield, rural Sumner.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home, Fredericksburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Nettie was born on Nov. 19, 1909 in Fayette County, the daughter of Gerhard t and Laura (Hyman) Stapel. She attended country school through eighth grade. She married E. Alvin Tessmer on Nov. 22, 1932 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church/ Richfield, Sumner. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a sister, Lauretta Falck, Prescott Valley, AZ; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Smith, Arlington and Everett Tessmer, Tripoli and three sisters-in-law, Darlene Stapel, Corona, CA, Della Reiser, Fredericksburg and La-benius Kist, Junction City, OR.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, E. Alvin, on March 26, 2001; a son,. Charles; one brother, George Stapel and three sisters, Lela Reasland, Hazel Denz and Lorraine Smith.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
