NEW HAMPTON - Peg (Laures) Schilling, 37, New Hampton, died at her home Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 of a rare cancerous brain tumor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Hampton with Rev. Carl Schmitt celebrating the mass. Music for the service will be provided by Ann Bennett as or-anist. Lector for the service is eg's brother, Arnie Laures. The pall will be placed on the casket by her husband Brian and three sons. The offertory gifts will be presented by Nikki Laures and Alyssa Laures. Larry and Cindy Heying will be Eucharist Ministers.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Hampton with Alan Morris, Jason Morris, Chris Laures, Jason j Schilling, Steven Schilling, Bob Jung and Nathan Laures as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are members or the New Hampton Fire Department, Cub Scout Den #3 and Boy Scouts Pack/Troop #48.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton, where there will be a 4 p.m. Rosary, 7 p.m. Scripture Service and a 7:30 p.m. Video Memorial Tribute.

Peg was born April 11, 1954 in New Hampton, the youngest daughter of Virgil and Kathleen (Sinnwell) Laures. She was a 1982 graduate of New Hampton High School and studied Business Education at NIACC, Mason City. On Sept. 8, 1984 she married Brian Schilling at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Hampton. Peg had worked at the former .Great Plains Lumber, New Hampton and was currently the Office Coordinator for the New Hampton and Charles City UBC (United Building Center). Peg was very active with her sons in their involvement with Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. She enjoyed spending time with her family and their camping trips. She also enjoyed the activities of the fire department, especially waterball fights. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Brian; three sons, James, Josh and Randy Schilling; her parents, Virgil and Kathleen Laures, New Hampton; her father and mother-in-law, Dick and Joyce Schilling, New Hampton; five brothers, Arnie (June) Laures, Waukon, Ron Laures, Platte City, MO, Greg (Joyce) Laures, New Hampton, Larry (Amy) Laures, Alta Vista ana Brian (Teresa) Laures, New Hampton; two sisters, Virginia (Terry) Robinson, Concorde, CA and Joan (Al) Morris, New Hampton; her grandmothers, Helen Schilling and Helen Gebel, both of New Hampton and many nieces and nephews.
