LAWLER -- William Sabelka, 58, rural Lawler, died Sunday, June 9, 2002 at his home of cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am. Wednesday, June 12 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler with Reverend Marvin Salz presiding.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with Tom Sabelka, Ron Sabelka, Tony Evens, Mike Kleespies, David Jirak and Larry Throndson serving^ as casket bearers.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, New Hampton, where there will be a 4 p.m. Rosary and 7 .m. Scripture Service, isitation will also be an hour prior to services at the church.

William Joseph Sabelka was born Nov. 15, 1943 in New Hampton, the son of Ervin and Wilma (Riehle) Sabelka. He was raised in the Reilly Ridge area and attended country school near his home. After his schooling he began farming with his family. On July 18, 1964    he was united in marriage to Norma Hackman at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waucoma. Following their marriage the couple farmed with his family for one year. In 1965    the couple purchased the farm where they were currently residing. He spent his whole life farming in the Reilly Ridge area. He enjoyed riding his mule, tinkering and fixing things. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Reilly Ridge until its closing; the couple then became members of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler.

Survivors include his arents, Ervin and Wilma Sa-elka, New Hampton; his wife, Norma; three sons, Thomas (Janice), Lawler, Richard (Deng Lothi), Indianola and Ronald and his fiance Amy, New Hampton; three daughters, Lisa, New Hampton, Karen (Tony) Evens, Whittier and Julie, Lawler; five grandchildren; a brother, Joe (Mary Jo), Lawler; three sisters, Linda (Bob) Buckridge, St. Louis, MO, Laure (Bob) Rausch, Ft. Atkinson and Leona (Florian) Steinlage, West Union; his mother and father-in-law, Hugo and Mildred Hackman, i t. Atkinson and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his paternal and maternal grandparents.
