FREDERICKSBURG - Lois ]. Rich, 77, Fredericksburg, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002 at Sunrise Guest Home, Fredericksburg of natural causes.

Funeral Services were Thursday, Feb. 28 at 1:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church, Fredericksburg.

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.

Visitation was from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home, Fredericksburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Lois was born Jan. 7, 1925 in Lansing, MI, the daughter of Chester and Rose (Tietz) Mallgren. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, Des Moines in 1943. She was united in marriage to John Rich on June 17, 1945 at Grace Methodist Church, Des Moines. Lois was associated with Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home, Fredericksburg for the past 53 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathryn Gitch, Simi Valley, CA, Linda Edwards, Fairfax, VA and Patricia Capitano, Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a special friend, Don Triplett, Fredericksburg.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John, in 1990; a'sister, Betty Bings and a granddaughter, Marisa Capitano.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
