NASHUA - Robert Allen • Pierce, 84, Columbia, MO, formerly of Nashua, died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at West Village Manor, Columbia, MO of natural causes.

Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Thursday , March 28 at Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home, Nashua.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua.

Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 with a 7 p.m. Masonic Service and also from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home on Thursday.

Robert was born July 12,1917 in Nashua, the son or William and Charlotte (Tucker) Pierce. He graduated from Nashua High School and Iowa State University in 1940 with a degree in zoology. He received is Masters Degree in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Det. with the 34th Division in North Africa and the Italian campaigns during WWII (1942-1945). He married Gerry Ransom. He was the State Extension Specialist with the University of Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Gerry; a son, Robert Pierce II, Columbia, MO; a daughter, Julie (John) Fulton, Tulsa, OK; a granddaughter and a sister, Margaret (Jack) Rushmeyer, Abilene, TX.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
