Nordman, Sena A. nee Poppe 1905 - 2002

NASHUA -- Sena Anna Nordman, 97, died Monday, May 20, 2002 at her home in Cedar Rapids of natural causes.

Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23 at Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home, Nashua.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua.

Visitation was from 9 a.m. to time of service on Thursday, May 23.

Sena was born Jan. 31,1905 in Butler County, the daughter of August and Dorothea (Priepke) Poppe. She married Otto W. Nordman on Oct. 28, 1925 in Charles City. She worked at the White Spot Cafe in Oelwein for 13 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Hakanson, Cedar Rapids and Monica Gallagher, Nevada; a special son, Ed Krueger, Dubuque; eight grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Nordman.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Otto, in 1980; two sons, Warren and Richard; three sisters, Elsie Heiser, Mable Ingersoll and Anna Buis; two brothers, Herman and Martin Poppe; a son-in-law, Joseph Gallagher and a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Nordman.
