Richard A. Meiers, 59, of Tipton, Iowa, passed away May 6, 2002 of cancer.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn; a daughter, Debra Gerardy of Maquoketa; two sons, Richard L. of Tipton, and Dennis of Port Byron, 111.; and seven grandchildren.

Richard was the son-in-law of Bess Buchholtz who resides in the Riceville Community Rest Home.
