NASHUA -- Lawrence B. Litterer, 87, Nashua, died Tuesday morning, March 5, 2002 at his home of an apparent heart attack while shoveling snow.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 8 at the United Methodist Church in Nashua. #

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.

Visitation was from 4-8 .m. Thursday, March 7 at Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour rior to services at the church on Friday.

Lawrence was born Sept. 23, 1914 in Riverton Township, Floyd County, Iowa, the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Kehret) Litterer. He graduated from Nashua High Scnool in 1932. On June 28, 1942 he married Marian Crooks. Lawrence farmed west of Nashua for 53 years, retiring in October 1995.

Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn (Paul) Streit, Sioux City, Bonnie (Richard) Mikelson, Des Moines, Jean Goings, Marshalltown; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Marian on Sept. 11, 1999; a son, Richard in 1984; his parents; a brother, Oscar Litterer; a sister, Matie Stille.
