A private viewing was held earlier this week and cremation has taken place for Barry Klapperich of Whitefish, MT. A memorial service, officiated by Tim Bartholomew took place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 at Stillwater Free Lutheran Church in Kalispell, MT. Another service will be held later this month in Meyer, Iowa.

Barry, 49, died Saturday, November 2, 2002 from complications of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Barry Klapperich was born July 23, 1953 at Osage, the son of Lawrence and Esther Klapperich. He grew up on the family farm near Stacyville. He attended school in Meyer and St. Ansgar.

On December 15, 1979 he married Beverly Fisher in Riceville. They moved to Montana in 1981 and made their home in Whitefish.

Barry was a guide on horseback tours in Glacier National Park, did ranch work, trained horses, and shod horses. He also guided hunting and fishing trips into the Bob Marshall and Great Bear Wilderness areas. He and his wife owned and operated Spring Prairie Garden in Whitefish. They were vendors at both Kalispell and Whitefish Farmers Markets.

He is survived by his wife Bevt one daughter: Tina of Whitefish, MT; his parents: Lawrence and Esther of Stacyville; two brothers: Owen of Kalispell, MT and Reid of Stacyville; and two sisters: Rose Schubert of Austin, MN and Dorette Fravel of Cresco.

Barry was preceded in death by one daughter: Julie; and an infant sister: Judv.
