lone Graves, age 81, of Riceville, Iowa, passed , away Monday, April 1, 2002 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the United Church of Christ in Osage, Iowa with the-Rev. Robert Melhorn. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery' in Riceville. Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Homte in Riceville on Wednesday, April 3, during the hours of 4:00 -8:00 p.m. and one hour before services at the church. ;

lone was born on March 7, 1921 in Marshall County to Merrill and Marguerite Teeters Mitchell. She was united in marriage to Marion L. Graves on August 11, 1940 at:the Congregational Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Marion land lone moved to Riceville in 1950. They were engaged in farming until their retirement. lone enjoyed china painting, crocheting and knitting and quilting. She was a 4-H leader' for ten years, a Member of the Eastern Star and was a lifetime member of the Congregational Church.

Survivors include one son: Dean Graves and his wif^Joni of Osage, Iowa; three daughters, Marilyn Butters and her_thusband Jerry of Mason City, Iowa ; Peggy Gail and her husband Jim of Union, Iowa, and Jean Affeldt and her husband Phillip of State Center, Iowa. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Kenneth Butters and his wife Karla and their four children, Brandon, Rachel, Blake, and Raquel of Washington, Towa; Keith Butters and his wife Sherri and their three children, Breanne, Zach, and Brook of West Des Moines, Iowa; Kevin Butters and his wife Tammy of Des Moines, Iowa; Kyle Butters and his wife Amy and their two children, Jessiqa and Katelyn of West Bend, Wise.; Marian Gal) of Urbandale, Iowa; Brian Gall and his wife Rebecca and their two children Walker and Taryn of Union, Iowa; Nicole Affeldt of Phoenix Ariz;, Chad Affeldt and his wife Steph of Clemons, Iowa; Richard Affeldt and his wife Karen of Coralville, Iowa; Robert Graves of Osage; and Russel Graves of Norfolk, Virg.; and one brother, Merrill Dean Mitchell and his wife Mitry of Marshalltown, Iowa.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Marion in 1998, and a sister, Helen Mitchell.
