Eicheid, Michale E. 1946 - 2002

CLAYTON - Michael E. Eischeid, 55, Clayton and formerly of New Hampton, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002 at the Guttenberg Municiple Hospital.

Funeral Services were held at 2 pm. on Saturday, Jan. 12 at St, Joseph's Catholic church in Garnavillo, with Father Richard Gaul presiding.

Burial with military rites was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Lawler, at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14 with Randy Adams, Gary Horton, John Kerns, Cal Roberson, Harlan Grunder, Roger Horton and Darryll Noble as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Dave Dirksen and Tim Kuermen.

Visitation was Friday, Jan. 11 from 4-8 p.m. at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home in Guttenberg.

Michael E. Eischeid was born May 14, 1946 in New Hampton, the son of Marcus and Clara (Gerber) Eischeid. He graduated from New Hampton High School in 1964 and Mankato State College. He was Certified Public Accountant, owning and operating an acounting firm in New Hampfon before owning the Lite House Restaurant in Clayton. He served in the United States Navy. On Oct. 23, 1971, Mike was united in marriage with Leann Connor at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Hampton. Mike loved the Mississippi River, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Leann; two nieces Roxanne and Katie; three nephews, Marcus, John and Greg.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Richard.
