Bell, Wilma C. nee King 1923 - 2002

Services were held for Wilma C. Bell on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at the Church of Christ in Austin, Minn, with Pastor David DeFor officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.

Wilma C. Bell, 78, of Austin died Tuesday, February 5 at her home.

She was born August 17, 1923 in Riceville, Iowa to George and Eva (Johnson) King. She attended Jamestown #4 School in Riceville. Later she moved to Austin, where she married George A. Bell on October 3, 1945. They had two children - Kenneth and Karen. After the children had grown, Wilma worked for the Land O’ Lakes Co./Lea Foods in Albert Lea for over 15 years.

Wilma was a member of the Church of Christ in Austin. She was a devoted grandmother and mother and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and gardening.

She is survived by her mother, Eva King of Blooming Prairie, Minn; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Yvonne Pell, Austin, Minn.; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Alex Karas of Belleville, Ark; six grandchildren, Matthew Bell of Mankato, Minn., Teresa Jemberg of Austin, Elaine and James Erickson of Albert Lea, Dianna Walton of Austin, Aaron Walton of Virgina, Minn and Isaac Walton of Albert Lea; brothers and sister-in-law Marreld and Bernice King of Alma, Iowa; Melvin King of Austin; sisters Vesta Bergland of Austin; Irene Weber of LeRoy, Minn; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Les and Virginia Meres of Yuma, Ariz; Roger Bell of Huron South Dak; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death be her father, husband George in 1995, and two sisters Marcella Murphy and Roberta Jensen.
