NEW HAMPTON - Leda Lee". Armstrong, 91, New Hampton died Friday, Feb. 15, 002 at the New Hampton Care Center of natural causes.

Funeral Services were 11 a..m. Monday, Feb. 18 at the Congregational United Church of Christ, New Hampton with Rev. Mary Hatch officiating, music for the service was provided by Jerry Bailey as organist. Pete and Phyllis Willdasen sang "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" and "On Eagle's Wings".

Interment was in New Hampton City Cemetery with Harlan Pose, Bill Prouty, Richard Natvig, Don Jepson, Russ Crandall and Pete Willadsen as pallbearers.

Visitation was 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton nd an hour prior to services at the church.

Leda was born Oct. 13, 1910 in Conesville, the daughter of Charles and Effie (Miesky) Wolford. She received her education in schools near Nichols. On Sept. 21, 1935 she married James Channing Armstrong in Nichols. The couple lived in several towns throughout the midwest and purchased the Save-U-Mart in New Hampton n 1944 which they operated until the mid 1950's. Lee then worked at Rogers Famous Foods or many years. She was a former member of P.E.O. and the Order of the Eastern Star and current member of the Congregational United Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Jackie (Russ) Crandall, Norwalk; one sister, Denise Green, Nichols and a sister-in-law, Bessie Wolford, Davenport.

Preceding her in death wvere her parents; her husband, a 1977 and nine brothers.
