NEW ORLEANS, LA --Jacobus C. Aafjes, 87, New Orleans, LA died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002 at the Chateau de Notre Dame, New Orleans.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler with Rev. Marvin Salz celebrating the mass.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Jacobus was bom in the Netherlands on Sept. 11, 1915. He later married the former Agnes Blazek of Lawler.

Survivors include one sister, Cora VanRaan of the Netherlands.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Agnes, in 1990.
