FREDERICKSBURG -Margaret H. Ellison, 76, died .Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center, New Hampton.

Funeral Services were 10:30'ia.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church/ Richfield, rural Sumner with Pastor Milton D. Johnson officiating. Music was provided by Eva Mae Niewoehner as organist and Heidi Tiedt as vocalist.

Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg. Casketbearers were Chad Shultz, John Shultz, Brent Peich, Chet Shultz, Ryan Ellison and Mitchell Ellison. Honorary casketbearers were Alysia Peich, Megan Shultz, Renee Ellison and Callie Ellison.

Margaret was born May 17, 1925, near Hawkeye, the daughter of August and Helen (Knoll) Weitenhagen. She graduated from Sumner High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Hubert Ellison on Oct. 22, 1943 in Hawkeye. She was a homemaker. She liked gardening, sewing and fishing with her husband. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church/Richfield and the Ladies Aid, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Stitch & Chatter Club.

Survivors include her children and their spouses: Diane (Michael) Peich, West Charles, PA, Greg (Mary) Ellison, Urbandale, Laurie (Robert) Shultz, Greene and Brad (Linda) Ellison, Fredericksburg; two sisters, Arlene Lauer, West Union and Alice Rose, Tampa, FL; one brother, Harley Weitenhagen, Sumner; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Hubert, in .1999 and a brother, Clarence Weitenhagen.
