ROBBINS, Mary Louise "Lou" nee COMBS 1934 - 2001

WAVERLT -- Mary Louise Robbins, 67, died at home on Friday, Oct. 5, 2001 of cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 2 P-m. at Floral Hills Chapel Funeral Home, 1093 Jackson Ave., between Oelwein and Hazleton.

Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. until service time at Floral Hills Chapel Funeral Home.

Mary Louise was born on April 4, 1934 in Independence, the daughter of Newell and Martha (Pollock) Combs. She graduated from Stanley High School and Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) in Cedar Falls. She married Dale D. Robbins on Jan. 22, 1956 in Union Church, Stanley. She taught school in Jesup, worked in a Waterloo bank, worked at Titus Mfg. and then went to work for John Deere. She retired from John Deere after 17 years on March 31, 1994. She was active in The Genealogy Club and was the State Director of the Iowa Good Sam RV Camping Club.

Survivors include her husband, Dale, Waverly; two sons, Dean (Christine), Clarksville and Brian (Jaime), Waverly; three daughters, Katherine M. (Dean) Stumme, New Hampton, Brenda Robbins, Pensacola, FL and Amy (Larry) Hoppe, Grand Rapids, MI; 12 grandchildren; two step grandchildren and one step great-grandson.

Preceding her in death were her parents.
