NEW HAMPTON -- Edwin F. Koezly Jr., 65, died Sunday, July 1, 2001 at Mount Carmel Medical and Rehab Center in Burlington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 6 p.m. Friday, July 6 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford with Fr. Edwin Kormath officiating.

Interment will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton.

Visitation will be at the church from 4 p.m. until services.

Ed was born in the Bronx, NY on Dec. 14, 1935, the son of Edwin F. Sr. and Agnes Koezly. He married Susan M. Murphy on July 2, 1960 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Hampton. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford where he also was the C.C.D. Coordinator for many years. Ed was also a member of the Kniehts of Columbus (past Grand Knight), Mount Carmel Board, Levi Barnes Board and St. Mary's College (Winona, MN) Alumni Board. He was very well read and was an avid conversationalist.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; four sons, Edwin F. Ill (Monica) Koezly, Ham Lake, MN, Robert G. Koezly, Eden Prairie, MN, Thomas G. (Cheri) Koezly, Forest Lake, MN, David J. Koezly, Rochester; a daughter, Jane (Todd) Fabozzi, Ham Lake, MNHive grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton, is in charge of local arrangements.
