NEW HAMPTON ~ Delbert Beyer, 69, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001 at his home in New Hampton of natural causes.

Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 11 at Calvary Baptist Church, Charles City with Reverend Steven Brudnak officiating. Edna Reicks was the pianist and accompanied the soloist, Blanche Hollerud, singing "In The Garden" and "I Know Whom I Have Believed" Those in attendance sang "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder".

Burial was in Osage Cemetery, Osage with Steven Hollerua, Jerry Dietrich, Scott Beyer, Terry Anderson, Brenda Kaltenbach and Dee-Dee Ster-nat serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers were Delbert's grandchildren Jessica Beyer, Joshua Beyer, Colton Beyer, Chase Beyer and Jacob Stewart.

Visitation was from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 at Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton and also an hour prior to services at the church.

Delbert Arthur Beyer was born July 14, 1931 in Toeterville, the son of George and Alfrieda (Hackbart) Beyer. He was a Mitchell High School graduate. He married Dorothy Stanton on Oct. 10, 1953 in Vinton. Delbert worked for White Farm Equipment for 28 years while residing in Charles City. In 1966, the couple moved to New Hampton, where Delbert worked for the City of New Hampton for 12 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, basketball, football and spending time at his lake home and with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Randy Beyer, Mankato, MN ana David (Sharon) Beyer, Waverly; one daughter, Rhonda (Darrin) Stewart, Elko, MN; five grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Clayton, Mitchell, Delores Hucke, Otter Tail, MN and Dallas Heinzerling, Otter Tail, MN; six brothers, Donald, Mitchell, Darrell, Osage, Dale, Charles City, Dennis, Fredericksburg, Dean, Mitchell and Geroge (John) Mitchell.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
