STATE CENTER - Cleo Poling, 85, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000 at the State Center Manor.

Memorial services were held Monday, Dec. 4 following cremation at the Presbyterian Church in State Center with the Rev. Keith McDonald officiating.^

Burial will be at a later date in Hillside Cemetery.

Visitation was from 4 to 7 .m. Sunday, Dec. 3 at Wensel-Perrin Funeral Home.

Cleo was born on Oct. 17, 1915 in Churdan to Clifford and Bessie (Barr) Stock. She was raised and educated in Churdan and State Center, graduating from State Center High School. She married Kenneth Poling on June 13,1933 in Dubuque. All of her adult life she lived in the State Center area. For over 30 years she was a Stanley Products salesperson and manager and had received many awards. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, State Center Women's Club, a former elder of the church and former clerk ot the church sessions.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; five sons, Larry (Lois), State Center; Jerry, State Center; Allyn (Jeanette), Fremont, NE; Kenneth (Penny), Plymouth, MN and Rick, Fridley, MN; three daughters, Sharon Abbas, Cedar Falls; Carolee (Dennis) Volker, New Hampton and Lea Ann Hitchings, State Center; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Virginia (Darwin) Kell, San Diego, CA; Margaret West, Lorenz, CA and Norma, (Gord) Yeager, Kellogg.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Presbyterian Church.
