Ruby Charlotte Mathison, 84

Services were held Wednesday afternoon at First Baptist Church in Spring Valley for Ruby Charlotte Mathison, 84, who died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester where she had been a patient for a short time.

The Rev. Joe Haynes officiated. Interment was in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Ruby Dotzenrod was born April 6, 1915, in Carimona Township, Fillmore County, Minn. She attended country schools through sev-enth grade and attended Bristol C.entpr School for eighth grad^. She graduated in 1932 after attending Preston High School for two years and Harmony High School for two years.

She worked at the county welfare office during the depression and then worked as a waitress until she married Milton Mathison Aug. 29, 1940. They farmed in the Cherry Grove and Greenleafton areas most of their lives, retiring to Spring Valley in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte (Mrs. Steven) Harnack, Riceville, Iowa; two sons, Milo, Rochester, and Dwight, Spring Valley. Also six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1995. A daughter and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
