Biography of CLARA FROST CONVERSE

Clara Susan Frost was born August 10, 1875 to William and Sarah Jane Vale Frost, on her parents' farm in Howard County, Iowa. Her father, William Frost, was born August 4, 1838 and emigrated from Devonshire, England to America in 1865. Her mother, Sarah Jane, was born April 4, 1843, and died in Howard County, December 31, 1884.

Clara Susan Frost married Myron Beecher Converse on 1 November 1897 at her parents' farm home near Lime Springs, Iowa. They became the parents of two sons, Leonard and Clarence.

In 1914, they moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where Myron entered the real estate business under the name, Converse Realty Company.

Clara Susan was a member of the First Congregational Church of Cresco and the Cresco Rebekah Lodge, I. O. O. F. She died January 17, 1955 at Cresco and was buried at Cresco in Oaklawn Cemetery. .
