Will H. Crozier
Representative from Mahaska county, was born on a farm in the county he now represents, December 18, 1870. Received his early education in the rural school and after finishing high school in Oskaloosa, completed a course in Highland Park college, Des Moines, Iowa. Has been engaged in farming and stock raising continuously ever since. Has held a number of offices in his township and served on his local school board twenty-six years. Was married to Lillie B. Zarling of Fremont, Iowa in 1898. They have two sons, Ralph W. and Glen A. He is a member of the Presbyterian church and a republican in politics.

R.B. Eckles
Representative from Butler county, was born on a farm in Marshall county, Iowa, August 6, 1876. He was educated in rural schools, and graduated from the Iowa State college in 1896. He was married to Ena M. Burnham in 1899. They have three children, Lester, Gordon and Dotha. He taught dairying and animal husbandry for two years at Doyleston, Pennsylvania. Engaged in farming and livestock feeding since 1900 near Aplington, Iowa. Justice of the peace for many years, a member of the Aplington consolidated school board for twelve years, being president of the board at this time. A member of the Presbyterian church. Elected representative in 1924 and reelected in 1926. A republican in politics.

John Eden
Representative from Clinton county, was born December 25, 1870, on a farm in Clinton county. He lived on a farm continuously until 1921, when he moved to Calamus, his present home. Served as road boss for two years, president of school board two years, director of a rural school, three years, president of Red Cross five years, president of Farmers Elevator company four years, county supervisor six years, and town councilman. Elected to the legislature in 1924, and reelected in 1926. Received his education in the rural schools. On October 3, 1895, married Agnes B. Kuebler, to which union were born three sons, Lester J., Richard J., and Bernard William. Mr. Eden is a Thirty-second degree Mason, a member of the Modern Brotherhood of America, the Modern Woodmen of America and the M.E. Church. He is a republican in politics.

George W. Edge
Representative from Jasper county, was born on an old soldier's claim in Saunders county, Nebraska, March 27, 1872. Has resided in Iowa since 1877 and in Jasper county since 1883, owning and operating a quarter section of land in that county. Was married September 1, 1897, to Anna Friend. They have two children, Margaret, who is married, and Everett, who is still at home on the farm. His education was procured in the rural schools and in the Hazel Dell academy at Newton. Was in the Iowa National Guard five years, discharged in 1895, with the rank of sergeant. Belongs to the Modern Woodmen of America, Subordinate Grange, Jasper County Pomona Grange, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and Independent Order of Odd Fellows, in which latter order he has been department aide to the department commander of the patriarch militant branch with the rank of major. A member of the Sons of the Veterns and of the Methodist church. Politically a republican. Elected representative in 1922 serving in the fortieth general assembly and the extra session. Reelected in 1924 and 1926.

Elmore A. Elliott
One of the representatives from Polk county, was born on a farm near Louisville, Kentucky, and spent the early years of his life farming. Worked his way through school, entering Westfield college, Westfield, Ill., at the age of 23 where he spent two years, later entering old Western college at Toledo, Iowa, where he finished his education. Married Lola Shepherd of Des Moines. Elected a member of the city council of Des Moines in 1918, reelected in 1920, serving both terms as finance commissioner. With state board of health one year. Is a minister in the Congrgational church. A member of the Masonic order, the I.O.O.F., K.P., L.O.O.M. and Hapac Grotto. Elected in 1924 and reelected in 1926. A republican in politics.

James D. Fleming
Representative from Crawford county, Iowa, was born September 26, 1884, of Scotch parentage. His entire life has been spent in Stockholm township, Crawford county, Iowa, where he now owns and operates a two hundred-acre farm. He received his early education in the rurual schools, attended and graduated from the Denison Normal college in 1907. He taught school for three years and has been actively engaged in farming since then. In August, 1913, he was married to Lillie I. Carlson and has three children, Ruth Mae, Charlotte Marie and Paul James. The family are members of the Presbyterian church at Denison, Iowa. Mr. Fleming has taken an active part in matters of public interest in his home community. He has been assessor and road superintendent for a number of years. He is now a member of the school board and president of the Farmers Elevator at Deloit. He was president of Crawford County Farm Bureau for two years. Elected state representative in 1924 and 1926. In politics he is a republican.

L.B. Forsling
Representative from Woodbury county, was born in Sioux City, March 23, 1890. Attended grade and high school in Sioux City, graduated in law from Cumberland university; general practice in law in Sioux City since 1915. Police judge of Sioux City, 1918. Married Lillian Nash, February 12, 1914. elected representative, 1920; reelected 1922, 1924 and 1926. Republican in politics.

Wm. T. Gilmore
Representative from Cedar county, was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was graduated from Iowa State college. Taught county school for two terms; afterward engaged in the clothing business for some years. Is now connected with the Cedar county state bank as vice president. Is a member of the Knights of Pythias, Consistory, Mystic Shrine, State Historical society and the farm bureau. Served on the city council for five years and was an alternate to the republican national convention in 1920. Elected representative in 1920, reelected in 1922 and 1926. Republican in politics.

H.M. Greene
Representative from Pottawattamie county, was born on a farm nar Avoca, Iowa, September 6, 1882. He attended rural school and Avoca high school; graduated from the law department of the State University of Iowa in 1906. He was admitted to the bar the same year but returned to farming, at which he is engaged at the present time. He enlisted as a private in L company 168th infantry, Rainbow division, and was later made a sergeant. He was twice wounded. He is a charter member and first commander of Fred Funston Post, American Legion at Avoca, Iowa. He is a Mason, a Shriner, and in politics a republican.

Edmund A. Grimwood
Representative from Jones county, was born on a farm in Allamakee county, on December 8, 1863, of English parents. Secured only those advantages which come through the common schools. Engaged in the drug business at Oxford Junction, Iowa, in 1887, after three years of apprenticeship at Independence, Iowa. After thirty-three years in this business, disposed of same on July 1, 1920, and was elected to the house in November of that year. Was reelected in 1922, 1924 and 1926.

David M. Griswold
Representative from Madison county, was born in Marion county, Ohio, September 5, 1863. Came to Madison county in 1866 where he has resided since, excepting ten years during which time he has served as secretary of the Hawkeye Telephone company. He attended the public schools of the state and taught in the public schools for several years. He has served in all of the different township offices and served as clerk of the district court for eight years. Is now engaged in farming. Is a director of the Citizens National Bank of Winterset. Married Lulu E. Piatt of Madison county on March 11, 1891. To this union a son and daughter have been born. A member of the Knights of Pythias, a Republican in politics.

J.H. Hager
Representative from Allamakee county, was born in that county, August 30, 1871. Received his education in the rural schools and at the Breckenridge Preparatory and business institute of Decorah, Iowa. Was quartermaster sergeant, company I, 49 Iowa Vol. infantry, during the Spanish-American war. In 1895, he engaged in the farm implement business at Waukon, and in 1908 added the buick line of cars and is continuing in that business at the present time. Was married June 14, 1905, to Grace Falby, formerly of Burlington, Vermont. Member of the Presbyterian church, Shrine consistory and K.P. lodge, a charter member of the Kiwanis club and served three years as president of the chamber of commerce. Elected representative in 1924 and 1926. Republican in politics.

Lenus Hagglund
Representative from Page county, Iowa, was born in Sweden, May 11, 1864. He came to Illinois, Henry county, with his parents, August, 1867. Then moved with his parents in the spring of 1876 to a farm near Essex, Page county, Iowa. He has always lived on a farm since coming to the United States and the farm on which he is now living has been owned and occupied by him for thirty-three years. Attended the rural schools and one winter attended the Western Normal college at shenandoah. Has always taken an active part in church, schools and public affairs. Has served as township trustee, school director, president of the school board, school secretary and treasurer, member of the county board of education, president of the Page county farm bureau and also treasurer of same. Was married to Alice Seablom, March 19, 1891. To this union five children were born, four sons and one daughter. All living except one, who was killed in an accident on the harvest field August, 1919. He is a member of the Presbyterian church. Elected representative in 1926. Republican in politics.

John F. Hale
Representative from Howard county, was born on a farm near Le Roy, Minnesota, June 27, 1871. He lived in Minnesota until the year 1904, then moved to a farm in Howard county, Iowa, and has lived in Howard county since that time. Received his education in the common schools, also the high school at Spring Valley, Minnesota. Was township trustee from 1905 until 1917, at which time he was elected a member of the board of supervisors of Howard county, serving nine years, eight years as chairman. Was elected representative in 1926. Republican in politics.

Roy Haney
Representative from Mills county, was born July 28, 1878, in the same county he represents. Was educated in the rural schools in his county, later attended business college, was vice president of the Glenwood Granite Works, director of the Mills County Building and Loan Association and for the past sixteen years has been engaged in the real estate and exchange business. Treasurer of the board of education and mayor of the city of Glenwood. This position he resigned after being elected as a member of the forty-first general assembly. He was reelected to the forty-second general assembly. Was married January 16, 1907, to Pearl Mintle, Glenwood. Member of the M.E. church, is a Mason, O.E.S. and Odd Fellow; also a member of the chamber of commerce of Glenwood. A republican in politics.

John T. Hansen
Representative from Scott county, was born in the city of Davenport, Iowa, November 28, 1858. He attended the rural schools and afterwards received some private instruction. Learned the blacksmith trade, but went to farming when he became of age. Was married March 12, 1887, to Emma Harst of Scott county, who died October 6, 1897. There were born to them four children, two boys and two girls. Both boys are World War veterans. One served with the 88th division in France. Has served on the board of education of Sheridan township, one term as justice of the peace and as vice president of the Scott county farm bureau. A member of the Iowa farm bureau federation. Served in the thirty-seventh, thirty-eighth, fortieth, forty-first and forty-second general assemblies. A member of the Woodmen of the World. A republican in politics.

Henry N. Hanson
Representative from Winnebago county, was born on a farm in Webster county, Iowa, September 3, 1876. He received his education in the rural schools of his county, in Luther Academy at Bode, Humboldt county, Iowa, and at the Humboldt college, Humboldt, Iowa. He engaged in the general merchandise business with his father in 1893 until moving to North Dakota in the fall of 1902, filing on a homestead on which he lived and proved up in 1909. He then returned to Iowa and settled on a farm in Winnebago county. He served as a member of the board of supervisors, resigning to better look after his duties on the farm. Since 1914 he has acted as auditor of the co-operative elevator and creamery association at Leland, secretary of the school board, and has held other public offices in his township. In the fall of 1924 was elected to the legislature and re-elected in 1926. Is a republican in politics.

F.M. Harrison
Representative from Clarke county, was born on a farm in Clarke county, his father having settled on the old homestead in 1856, on which his mother still resides. He attended the public schools, also Simpson and Humboldt colleges, and later taught in the public schools of Clarke county. In June, 1916, enlisted in Company B, 3rd Iowa Infantry at Camp Dodge, Iowa, and was sent to Brownsville, Texas, where he was stationed from July 24, 1916, to February 1, 1917. Discharged at Fort Des Moines, February 20, 1917. Re-enlisted in Co. B, 3rd Iowa Infantry, July 16, 1917, at Machinery hall, Fair Grounds, Des Moines, this organization later became the 168th Infantry, 42nd division, known as the Rainbow division. Served eighteen months overseas, returned to the United States April 25, 1919, was discharged at Camp Dodge, May 16, 1919. Returned to farming. Was first commander of Isaac Davis post, No. 69, at Osceola. In 1920 was elected clerk of the district court, in which capacity he served four years. Married Violet W. Cornell, October 18, 1921. Elected representative from the fifteenth district November 4, 1924, was a member of the forty-first general assembly, was reelected in 1926. A member of the Osceola M.E. church. A member of the Masonic order. A republican in politics.

H.C. Hattendorf
Representative from Osceola county, was born in Lake county, Indiana. He received his education in the parochial and public schools. Learned the carpenter trade and worked at it for a number of years. He has served as township clerk and as secretary of the school board. He was a member of the county board of supervisors for three terms and was elected twice chairman of the board and for two years he has been the township assessor. He married Louisa Glade in 1892. He has been engaged in farming and stock raising ever since. He was elected representative in 1922, reelected in 1924 and 1926. A life long republican.
