INTERESTING NEWS CONCERNING THE COUNTY SCHOOLS

Henry County Well Supplied With Educational Advantages. List of Schools and Teachers.

The following is a list of the rural schools and their teachers and salaries, furnished by the County Superintendent of schools. It will be of interest to know that there are seventy-two rural schools in the county including the Trenton Independent District and the Rome District, and out of this number five are closed. The closing of these schools is caused by non-attendance and when the average attendance is raised to eight or ten pupils the opening becomes effective and a teacher provided. The figures following the name denotes the amount of salary per month.
