- Sadie Courtney was found dead Jan. 29 at her farm where she had lived alone. It is believed that she had been dead several days.
- Gail Crawford of Olds were married to Eileen Nichols of New York city Jan. 24 at Columbia, S.c. where MR. Crawford was stationed with the infantry.
- Janet Rae, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Gisser, died Jan. 29.
- Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McDowell were the parents of a son.

- Funeral service was held for Mary Hawkins at the Congregational church here. She passed away in Colorado.
