Our purposes and goals are to create and foster an interest in
genealogy, to gather and preserve genealogical and historical data, to
aid individuals in their genealogical research, to establish and
maintain a genealogy library, to publish a quarterly newsletter and to
improve the availability and access to public records.
MEMBERSHIP & MEETINGS
JOIN the Harrison County Genealogical Society!
Membership is January 1 through December 31.
Dues are $15 per person, $20.00 for family per calendar year.
A Lifetime Membership is available for $300.00, valid anytime, and is non-transferable.
Members receive a copy of the HCGS quarterly newsletter "Harrison County Happenings" which includes items of genealogical and historical interest dealing with the local area as well as news about activities and projects of the society. Refer to this Newsletter Index.

Meetings of the Harrison County Genealogical Society (HCGS) are
normally held the second Saturday of each month, except in the winter
months, at the HCGS Library, lower level of Merry Brook School at 1 P.M.
HCGS will do RESEARCH for a fee of $20 per hour plus copy costs. Review
the Research Page for details.
