CARL F. PETERSON Carl F. PETERSON, a resident of section 20, Allen Township, came to this county in July, 1873, and first located on the Missouri Bottom, in Taylor Township, and worked for his uncle by the month. He continued to work by the month for eight years, and then bought the place he now occupies, consisting of one hundred and twenty acres of partly improved land, upon which he built a house, 14x20 feet, also built a barn, granary, cribbing, etc. Set out an orchard of one hundred trees, besides a grove of shade trees. He now owns two hundred acres, one-half of which is under the plow. He was born in Sweden, in December 1852, the son of Peter and Christena LARSON, who had eight children, six of whom are still living, all in this country but one. Our subject left Sweden when twenty years of age and came direct to Harrison County. He was married October 21, 1883 to Eliza FOLLETT, daughter of Nelson and Ellen FOLLETT, of Indiana, who had seven children.
Our subject and his wife are the parents of four children: Emma, Edgar, Charles and Ellen.Return to 1891 Biographical P Surnames Index
