Donner Cemetery, Jackson Township, Section 13
This cemetery is located on the Glenn DONNER farm, or east on the Owasa blacktop to curve in the road, then been removed. Glen DONNER says in 1950 about 8 or 9 stones remained, now only a few of these stones remain, laying along a fence row. A few of these stones we were able to piece together, and by checking the impressions in the earth
we counted about 24 graves in the cemetery at one time. Dean Eggleston of Eldora stated that many of the graves were children who died during a dipheria epidemic. One of the stories handed down thru the years is that a farmer in area used some of the stones for a foundation for a farm building. Dean Eggleston and Glen Donner assisted in indexing.
Compiled by Glenn and Sally PAUL of Eldora in 1974.
